I'm Cassandra Monroe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and I'm licensed to provide therapy to clients across Nevada. My office is in Reno, so if you're nearby you're welcome to come in person, and if you're in Las Vegas, Henderson, Sparks, Carson City, or a small town hours from the nearest practice, we can do the same meaningful work by secure video. My Nevada licenses are LCSW 9397-C and LCADC 06853-LC, which you can verify with the Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers and the Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselors.
My approach is grounded in the Gottman Method, one of the most extensively researched approaches to couples therapy. Telehealth sessions use the same tools, the same structure, and the same warmth I bring to in-person work. For a lot of Nevada couples and individuals, especially in the south where the nearest fit can feel far away, online therapy simply removes the friction that used to get in the way of starting.

How telehealth works in Nevada
Telehealth is based on where you are sitting, not where I am. Because I'm licensed in Nevada, I can see anyone physically located in the state during our session, whether you're in a high-rise in Las Vegas, a quiet house in Henderson, or up north near Reno. Distance is never the deciding factor.

- All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a steady internet connection.
- Nevada runs on Pacific Time, and we'll find a session time that fits around work, kids, and life.
- Prefer to meet face to face? In-person sessions are available at my Reno office, with telehealth for everywhere else in the state.
Does online therapy actually work?

Connecting Couples is an out-of-network, private-pay practice, which lets me tailor care to your goals rather than insurance requirements. I don't bill insurance directly, but if your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for eligible services that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Yes. I'm licensed in Nevada and see clients across the entire state through secure video, from Las Vegas and Henderson to Carson City, Sparks, and Reno. You can take part from home or anywhere private with a stable internet connection.
Can you see clients in Las Vegas or Henderson by telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth is based on where you're sitting, not where I am. Because I'm licensed in Nevada, I can work with anyone physically located in the state, so distance from my Reno office is never a barrier for clients in Las Vegas, Henderson, or anywhere else in Nevada.
Do you also offer in-person therapy in Nevada?
Yes. I see clients in person at my office at 71 Washington St, Suite 12, in Reno, and I offer secure telehealth to clients throughout the rest of Nevada. You're welcome to choose whichever fits your life better.
Do you take insurance in Nevada?
Not directly. Connecting Couples is an out-of-network, private-pay practice, so I don't bill insurance. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill on request for eligible services that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan and reimbursement isn't guaranteed, so I recommend checking your benefits with your insurance provider before we begin.
