Online therapy in Nevada
Thoughtful, evidence-based couples and individual therapy by secure video, for people anywhere in Nevada. I am based in Reno, so you can meet in person here or by telehealth from Las Vegas, Henderson, Carson City, or any corner of the state.
Real therapy, wherever you are in Nevada
I'm Cassandra Monroe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and I'm licensed to provide therapy to clients across Nevada. My office is in Reno, so if you're nearby you're welcome to come in person, and if you're in Las Vegas, Henderson, Sparks, Carson City, or a small town hours from the nearest practice, we can do the same meaningful work by secure video.
My approach is grounded in the Gottman Method, one of the most extensively researched approaches to couples therapy. Telehealth sessions use the same tools, the same structure, and the same warmth I bring to in-person work. For a lot of Nevada couples and individuals, especially in the south where the nearest fit can feel far away, online therapy simply removes the friction that used to get in the way of starting.
What we can work on together
Every service below is available to Nevada clients by secure telehealth, and in person in Reno.
Couples & marriage
Communication that keeps going in circles, distance that crept in slowly, recurring conflict, or simply wanting to feel like a team again. Couples counseling built on the Gottman Method.
Individual therapy
Space to work through anxiety, life transitions, self-worth, and the patterns you keep running into. Individual therapy at your own pace.
Affair & betrayal recovery
Rebuilding trust after an affair or broken agreement is hard, careful work. Betrayal recovery gives it structure and a path forward.
Substance use & addiction
As a licensed LCADC, I support clients and couples affected by substance use, including the strain it puts on a relationship. Learn more.
Relationships & premarital
Dating with intention, getting ready for marriage, or navigating a new chapter together. Support for relationships at every stage.
Families & children
Help for parents and families working through change, communication, and connection at home.
How telehealth works in Nevada
Telehealth is based on where you are sitting, not where I am. Because I'm licensed in Nevada, I can see anyone physically located in the state during our session, whether you're in a high-rise in Las Vegas, a quiet house in Henderson, or up north near Reno. Distance is never the deciding factor.
- Sessions happen over secure, private video. I send you a link before each one.
- All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a steady internet connection.
- Nevada runs on Pacific Time, and we'll find a session time that fits around work, kids, and life.
- Prefer to meet face to face? In-person sessions are available at my Reno office, with telehealth for everywhere else in the state.
Does online therapy actually work?
Short answer: yes. Studies comparing online and in-person couples therapy have found comparable results, and many people actually attend more consistently when sessions are virtual. If you'd like the longer answer, I wrote about what the research shows on the effectiveness of couples therapy.
Insurance and getting started
In Nevada I'm in network with Lyra, United Healthcare, Aetna, Hometown Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, and I also offer out-of-network and private-pay options (including cash). Plans differ, so the simplest thing is to reach out and I'll help you confirm your specific coverage before we begin.
Getting started is straightforward: send a message through the contact form or call 775.400.2834. We'll set up a time to talk about what's bringing you in and whether we're a good fit, with no pressure either way. You can also read more about me first.
